MITSUKO NAMIKI

 

My main resources and inspiration come from Mystery of Universe and Nature’s power and beauty. My works have spontaneous and controllable territories, which are executed by color, brush stroke and surface texture. Especially, my color and brush stroke and gesture express feeling and my emotional side. They come from the mystery of my mind, which hardly define and refuse by any verbal description. As a tonality of my works, control defines and leads to finish my work. As a finished work, these two elements co-work and collaborate with each other very well in my most works. The records and marks on the two dimensional surface imply the moment of flow of my mind, which comes from unknown mysterious territory of my mind, and by this reason I can continue to work to shape up into final stage, finished, completed work. When I start to work, there are no preconceived image and idea. Simply the action creates something and something creates another something, eventually these something starts to become work. This whole process excites me and gives me pleasure, pain and agony at the same time.
