THERESA G. FERNALD
June 29 July 30, 2016

Recent Work

My new work maintains my passion with Prismatic Light and Painterly Realism. My subjects are immersed in saturated light and intense color. In my work ‘color’ is the interpretation of ‘light’, reunited energy forces constantly moving through time and space.  Color/light coalesce into a dance of complementary vibrations.

The subjects are the playfulness of children, Simeon Chardin, Alfred Hitchcock, Dante, Rubens and JMW Turner. All colorful characters and filled with Light! They inspire my imagination.

My paintings are reactions to the spellbinding vibration of life seen by the viewer as color. All of life is for me veiled but once the veil is lifted then the fun begins.  Excitement begins and reveals intense vibration. The dance of color as light constantly changing and varied, indeed filled with the energy of life.
